Scotland will take your breath away - and that's before you've started running the marathon! The marathon course has been changed to make it more runner-friendly, and it finishes in Musselburgh Stadium, a famous horse-racing venue. The crowd support in Musselburgh is worth every step. Runners from all over the world congregate in this ancient and historic city for this bank-holiday race, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet people.

And after a hard 26.2, we'll reward ourselves with some of the best fish and chips you've ever tasted, washed down with a pint of cask-conditioned ale. There's more to Scotland than the capital city, though, so we'll take a day to tour the countryside, see how single-malt scotch is made, and call on Nessie to see if she'll come out and play.

Trip Dates: May 27 - June 2, 2009
